July 24, 2014 Vancouver, BC, Pure Energy Minerals Ltd. (“Pure Energy” or “the Company”) Pure Energy Minerals Ltd. is providing an update on the regional exploration program at the Company’s lithium brine project in Esmeralda county Nevada. The project is located in the Clayton Valley region and consists of two placer mineral claim blocks, the 5,000-acre CV/DB property, located contiguous and to the southeast of Rockwood Lithium’s producing Silver Peak mine, and the 2,000-acre AF property, located approximately 10 miles to the east.
On June 24, 2014, the Company announced a notice of intent to conduct exploration drilling approval by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) was received by the Company’s operator, GeoXplor Corp., for the 5,000-acre CV/DB claims. The permit provides for the drilling of one reverse circulation drill hole ranging in depth of 1,000 feet. A historical exploration drill target has been identified and will be twinned. Site preparation and mobilization are now under way for the exploration program. Extensive well brine sampling and geo-hydrological surveys will be conducted in conjunction with this drilling along with analysis of historical data with the goal of proving up historical data. Additionally bulk samples from this exploration program will be used to evaluate new evaporation and processing technologies for lithium recovery currently under review by Pure Energy.
On April 2, 2013, the Company announced a notice of intent to conduct exploration drilling was received by the Company’s operator, GeoXplor, for the 2,000-acre AF claims. Site preparation is currently under way, an initial exploration well is planned to test a specific target identified by detailed geophysical surveys conducted on the property. Based on success in finding brine aquifers and anomalous lithium contents, additional geophysical surveys and further drilling may be planned to expand on the information about hydrogeology and lithium mineralization that might be discovered. It is anticipated that this phase of drilling will commence subsequent to the CV/DB drill program.
As part of its overall development strategy for the Clayton Valley region, the company recently hosted a due diligence site visit with senior executive members of two previously announced potential strategic partners. In conjunction with the site visit, the company and its delegation meet with members of the Nevada Governor’s Office for Economic Development. The purpose of the meeting was to highlight the state’s robust mining industry, extensive infrastructure, and the state’s focus on stimulating and attracting economic development.
